Our mission and vision
Germany is the largest economy in Europe and the third largest export nation in the world. The prosperity of society depends on securing sustainable supplies of energy and a successful energy transition or ‘Energiewende’. We don’t want to be spectators. It is our mission to proactively shape the transition. To get there, we will build on our role as a leading German energy producer, helping meet domestic, low carbon energy needs responsibly and creating value for all our stakeholders.

Future energy
We develop and advance new energy projects including lithium production, geothermal energy by utilizing our subsurface knowledge, access to unique data and established infrastructure. We aim to build strong partnerships to successfully deliver these important projects.
Oil & Gas
We further develop our most valuable assets, contributing to domestic security of supply and recycling higher returns from our oil and gas business to invest in low carbon energies and portfolio optimization to provide near-term value.
Sustainability
We aim to continually reduce our energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions over the long term. We reduce decommissioning liabilities with our experts while ensuring an excellent HSE performance. We return sites to nature.
