Routine maintenance work on natural gas well

Salzwedel/Steinitz, 21 October 2026
Base

Neptune Energy will be carrying out routine maintenance and servicing work on the PES 178 natural gas well in the coming weeks.

Following the installation of the workover rig on 21 October, underground maintenance work will commence on 26 October and will be carried out both day and night. This will involve, amongst other things, the replacement of underground equipment components.

No increased light or noise emissions are expected during the works, which will be carried out near the production site in Steinitz. At the start and end of the works, there may be increased traffic around the site. The works are expected to last between four and seven weeks. The measures have been notified to the Saxony-Anhalt State Office for Geology and Mining (LAGB).
