Statistics: Figures for the exploration and production industry

Are you interested in a more detailed overview of the oil and gas industry? Then the annual statistics from our Federal Association for Natural Gas, Petroleum and Geoenergy (Bundesverband Erdgas, Erdöl und Geoenergie e.V. - BVEG) are just what you need. The BVEG compiles annual statistics with all relevant information on the activities of the German exploration and production industry (E&P industry). The production figures per region and field can be taken from this analysis.

In addition, individual federal states maintain data and information portals on mining activities. These overviews show, for example, licence areas and, in some cases, drilling inventories. The state of Lower Saxony summarises this information on the NIBIS map server.
